Principles of Integrative Medicine

Collaborative Relationship:
We emphasize a strong therapeutic relationship between patient and practitioner, focusing on collaboration and teamwork.

Patient Participation:
Your active participation is essential. We might suggest lifestyle changes to benefit your health, always with compassion and without judgment.

Evidence-Based Approach:
Our practices are informed by the latest guidelines from reputable organizations like the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as international health bodies.

Therapies Used:
We use a combination of acupuncture, custom herbal medicine, supplements, nutrition, lifestyle recommendations, and comprehensive bloodwork. We may also refer you for additional testing or to other providers if needed.

Balanced Perspective:
We neither reject conventional medicine nor accept natural therapies uncritically. Our approach is holistic, addressing your mental, emotional, and physical health.

Holistic Care:
We consider the whole person, not just the disease. Factors such as personal relationships, lifestyle, and past experiences are all taken into account in your treatment.

What to Expect

Initial Visit:
Duration: 90 minutes
Includes a review of your medical history, current health, and goals, along with a Chinese Medicine Evaluation (examining your tongue, pulse, and abdomen). Most patients receive their first acupuncture treatment during this visit, which involves small needles placed at specific points, followed by a 25-30 minute rest period.

Treatment Plan:
Within 48 hours, you’ll receive a detailed treatment plan. This may include recommendations for blood work, additional testing, supplements, nutrition, exercise, treatment frequency, and other referrals.

Ongoing Care:
Your plan will be adjusted based on your progress and any new findings. Most patients notice improvements within the first month, with significant changes often taking 3-6 months. Typically, the treatment involves weekly sessions for 12 weeks, followed by bi-monthly sessions for an additional 2-6 months.

Costs:
Initial visit: $165 (includes treatment plan)
Return visits: $90
Herbal medicine: approximately $100 per month
Blood work (if needed): typically $200-$300
Supplements: cost varies

There are no hidden fees or surprise costs.
